I picked the above picture from designhill.com, and I added the text ball to it. This picture shows some fonts in various vibrant colors in the center of the sphere, with the same text in gray scale on the rest of the globe. As a graphic designer I should be able to explore the beauty of both options.
Even though most of the printed material for business or for entertainment is using black ink on white paper, we cannot overlook the fact that our world is becoming more vibrant and colorful as tints are splashed across the web where everything is decorated in colors, except most of the text. Waves of colors mask all kinds of books and magazines covers to attract readers, but this doesn’t mean that using black shades in graphic design is a waste of time and energy.
I feel that a professional graphic designers should understand that even though colorful graphics are more attractive, clients will have to print their logos and pamphlets in black and white. Clients won’t be as satisfied with their logos as with the vibrant colorful design; a graphic designer should address such situation in advance by creating the logo first in black and white.
In conclusion a smart graphic designer should be able to use the classic or the traditional tools without overlooking the power and the potential of new technologies, added to own skills and talent to help others make better decisions
